Distributed Coordinated Precoding for MIMO Cellular Network Virtualization

This paper presents a new virtualization method for the downlink of multi-cell multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) network, to achieve service isolation among multiple Service Providers (SPs) that share base station resources an Infrastructure Provider (InP). Each SP designs virtual precoder its users in each cell, as demand InP, without need be aware existence other SPs or know channel state information (CSI) outside cell. The InP performs network meet SPs’ demands while managing both inter-SP and inter-cell interference. We consider coordinated precoding at formulate optimization problem minimize weighted sum signal leakage deviation, with per-cell transmit power constraints. propose fully distributed semi-closed-form solution any CSI exchange across cells. further low-complexity scheme allocate power, regulate between interference elimination maximization. Simulation results demonstrate our substantially outperforms traditional spectrum alternative. It can approach performance cooperative when number antennas is large.
